Be The Love Global
I’m interested in Global Mission opportunities!
Camino De Vida Church – Iquitos, Peru
Camino de Vida is a multi-campus church, located in Lima, Peru. Their heart and mission is to reach communities for Christ and help those in need. In addition to the ministry they do in the capital city of Lima, Camino de Vida has a vision to reach the whole nation of Peru! They work with many Pastors and communities in the Amazon jungle region in order to train and support village churches. These churches are sustaining themselves, but Camino de Vida is close enough to periodically visit and provide support.
January 13 – 22, 2017 a CapCity Church team will be going down to Peru to work with Camino de Vida Church! We will be partnering with Camino de Vida to help carry out their ongoing ministry projects. Everything we do will emphasize serving alongside the local church to meet practical needs in their community, building relationships, impacting lives one at a time, and prayer! All ministries will be relational based to allow opportunities for prayer, sharing testimonies, and for the Holy Spirit to work!
Here’s a glimpse into the trip (Jan 13 – 22, 2017):
In February 2015 and November 2015, a team of 8-12 individuals went down to Peru to work with Camino de Vida for 9 days. Our first team worked in the capital city of Lima, and the second team went to the jungle to begin a partnership with a church plant on the outskirts of Iquitos, Peru. These teams helped local leaders construct a water well, led children’s ministries, shared their testimonies, preached short sermons, prayed over the sick, participated in a 3-4 day mass wheelchair distribution drive, and served the impoverished or homeless populations through other forms of evangelism and discipleship.
Camino De Vida views each of their team members as “Facilitators of Miracles,” which is truly how God used our team.

Modern Day Slavery is the second largest criminal industry in the world. Today it is estimated that over 12 million people worldwide are trafficked (Source: United Nations). These statistics seem overwhelming but each number represents a life. Each life has a story. Every life deserves freedom. Capital City Church’s Be the Love Campaign is is committed to partnering with the A21 Campaign to right the injustice of slavery. We are joining with them to support their mission to raise awareness, take legal action where appropriate, and offer rehabilitation services to rescued victims of human trafficking in order to fight this injustice from a comprehensive approach. Through monthly support and annual initiatives, Be The Love is a significant advocate for the cause of A21. For more information about the A21 Campaign visit their website at www.thea21campaign.org
Joint Aid Management (JAM)
24,000 children die each day from preventable causes (Source: UNICEF). Many of those children die simply because they do not have adequate food to make it through the day. Capital City Church’s Be the Love Campaign is supporting Joint Aid Management (JAM) in their goal of feeding 1 million African children each day. JAM is an African founded, registered non-profit humanitarian relief and development organization, with 26 years experience in sustainable development. JAM’s programs focus on nutritional feeding, school feeding, assistance to orphans and vulnerable children, the provision of water and sanitation, as well as skills development, community training on agricultural development, income generation projects and HIV/AIDS programming.
